  paul makes no sense???

  is it just me, but when i read my bible (nwt) i found whole pages of pauls writing that i didn't understand and couldn't make head nor tail of.

  i also noticed that the borg tended to only quote certain scriptures that they thought they could make sense of pauls writings, and these were quoted over and over again.

  but surely the whole bible is supposed to be inspired and benifical ... bla bla bla etc?.

  yesterday we had a serious conversation with my wife.

  i repeatedly explained her, that never ever i will go in field service as jw, becouase based on facts, i realized, that many of the jw teachings are not true.

  i showed her several logical examples as 1914, 607, 1919 as jw being chosen as the only true by jc, blood issue and some others.. wife: its minor issues.... me: it is not, since for not believing in these anybody could be df and thus sentenced to death.

  Documentary About The Flood and Noah's Ark

  about a week or two ago i watched a documentary about the flood in noah's day entitled "in search of noah's ark".

  two things i found very interesting in this program is a theory that one person had about how they believed the flood was caused due to a meteor hitting the ocean creating a tsunami that flooded the entire earth.

  scientist were unanimous in their view that this is a very plausible scenario and that there is no way to rule this possibility out.

  i had the "privelege" of giving the masterbation talk years ago.

  when i looked at the talk slip and saw the theme, i thought at least they have an expert on the subject.

  the best thing about it was that the point i was to be counseled on was gestures.

  i was on the phone talking about how my 12 year-old has become interested in the theory of relativity since i commented some things about it to him...my mom, ever the jw, and for some reason thinking she can still convince me to go back to the borg, quickly states, "you know, einstein did believe in god".. "yes, he did, but only because of the order shown in the universe," i replied.

  "he believed not in the god of the bible, but rather in an impersonal god that doesn't meddle with humanity's issues, sort of spinoza's god".. long silence.

  "oh, i see," she mumbles.

  So your mum thinks Einstein believed in God but knows he wasn't a witness. So she was basically saying 'yunno Einstein was part of babylon the great yunno'

  my jw in laws send us these types of emails every once in a while .

  never is there any real personal correspondence from them and it irritates me.

  i have sent emails back before critiquing the logic of some of their emails.. i will be sending a response to this latest one ,and i would appreciate some ideas .. i know many of you on this forum are so excellant with your words i would enjoy your input .. the first thing that came to my mind after i read the illustration was "i am so glad i am no longer on the endless tread mill of witness logic that has you running forever from scary imaginary spirit beings ".
